  • Week 1

    1. Breathwork, Somatics and Emotional Trauma, Triggers.

    2. Working with resistance to feeling, to being in stillness and silence.

    3. Intro to Somatic Psychology.

    Body focus: Feet + Legs.

    Emotional experience: Anxiety, spaceness, restlessness - to awareness and learning to stay.

  • Week 2

    1. How to heal emotional pain with breath + movement.

    2. Identify difference in perceptions and feelings, when brain speaks versus body.

    3. Working with deep fear, resistance and unconscious judgement, implicit memory.

    4. Map emotions in body, emotions + illness.

    Body Focus: Stomach+ Hips

    Emotional experience: Resistance journeying to Acceptance.

  • Week 3

    1. Name, process, understand emotions.

    2. Understanding heartbreak and grief, impact on body and mind.

    3. Healing the root of current unwanted patterns.

    4. Healing the Inner child, and accessing exile parts.

    Focus – Lungs, Shoulders, Twists

    Emotions- Pain to certain transformation.

  • Week 4

    1. The Journey of Self Love and immovable self worth.

    2. Integration of 4 weeks.

    3. Holding the unknown, improve questioning + listening.

    Body Focus: Spine + Glands

    Emotional experience: Awe, magic, love, connection

It teaches you skills to support yourself and your clients/family/friends when the waves of trauma come again. Emotional trauma is something we will all experience throughout life, but with the right education, support and tools, people can heal even the deepest of pains.

This work can help prevent addiction, relationship breakdowns and a life of not knowing self.

These are patterns people turn to, unconsciously, to cope with emotional pain.

What makes this course effective and different to the rest:

(1) Live teaching with recordings.

Very few course online teach live for a month this intensely.

1 in 5 complete online courses, and I imagine even lower when it comes to matter of emotional pain. Live element is why this course works and gets the results it does. We are live dynamic beings and its important to experience working with material together.

(2) Daily practise for a month will reveal an ocean of information to you.

This course allows you to learn to attend to yourself whilst still living your life, being triggered, whatever events happen in your private life in that month. This is great way to practise in a real environment not a perfect one. Not 20 hours in weekend away. In my experience of teaching these courses for 8 years now, there becomes serendipitous synchronicity of what happens in your life and the course.

(3) If you are cynical and don’t like fluffy language, you want the science, straight, direct teaching.

Carla was very allergic to this work, but had deep hunger to understand human suffering and questioned how she could live in world with so much suffering. You are in good hands, all questions and cynicism, non believers welcome.

When there is high emotional trauma, it is difficult to pay attention.

It is difficult too, due to constant bombardment of information in today’s world.

(6) Working with the most powerful energetic cycle in this world.

The most powerful cycle in this earth is the female menstrual cycle, in which a new consciousness can be created. The moon in Yoga and Shamanism, represents this as it runs on 28 day cycle similar to menstrual cycle. This course begins on new moon working with earth energetics of new beginnings. Indigenous people use this cycle to plant seeds of dreams of which they are bringing to life, using the flow of release, which happens on full moon, to support your intentions with course.

4 weeks of live learning, with 20 live sessions covering education, practice and discussion of your findings.

All sessions are recorded, so you can fit the learning around your life. You will have access for 12 months to support your integration after the intensive.

Direct mentoring with Carla, including 2 x 1:1 sessions.

Emotional anatomy sessions will teach you the psychosomatic language of the body, helping you to expand your skills and deepen your knowledge.

Access to a like-minded community is one of the most powerful aspects of this course. Hearing other people’s stories allows each person to act as a mirror throughout the journey. Healing in community helps you access exiled parts and emotions that fuel unwanted patterns, which often cannot be reached without group work.

This is a course to stop intellectualising your healing and start actually feeling.

The heartbreak and rejection can feel like your world is shattered, and you don’t think you will ever recover. It brings up your worst thoughts and beliefs about yourself, as if to say, “If only you were different, this would never have happened.”

This is your opportunity to heal the energetic patterns that have been repeating in your life, patterns that began before you could cognitively think.

Addiction, busyness and constant doing are forms of pain management. It is exhausting. Your body becomes full of tension, tired of snapping. You feel stuck, and change or a different way of being can feel impossible.

You feel stuck because you are still trying to heal alone, trying to process pain in secrecy and through judging and berating yourself.

You can’t tell the difference between thoughts and feelings, or what is real and what is not. You need to create space and learn to listen, which cannot be done while you are sprinting through life at speed, multitasking, with your phone constantly demanding your attention.

In this state, you keep going around in the same circles: tension, pain, run, pretend, ignore, collapse. Moving between two speeds, 90mph and collapse, with no real flow.

This course is where that pattern is disrupted, and where you learn skills for life, no matter what waves come.

Why Me?

Because I get it. I was resistant to all of this for YEARS.

I had built a successful corporate career in alcohol industry. I was addicted to being busy - always multitasking, every second of the day filled. 

I was prescribed yoga and meditation by my therapist after being diagnosed with CPTSD at 27. I was so disconnected from my body I couldn't tell my arm from my leg.
I was addicted to exercise and was convinced my therapist was trying to make me fat when she suggested I give up training.

I would rather have died, that been still and silent.
My first response to yoga? Looking like a professional rugby player trying to touch their toes.
My reaction to meditation? Holding my breath so much that I ended up passing out.

Something kept me showing up.
Every so often I would feel tingles, pleasure, waves of love- our true nature. At our core we our BEings of love, but carrying too much traumatic energy disconnect us from our innate care system.

I help women like you who are:

It sounds like an awful lot of work, what if I’m too busy?

When will you ever not be busy? If we waited for that day, we would be waiting forever.

My guess is your busy putting everything but yourself first. Remember 80% autoimmune disease is women, due to not being able to take care of their emotional needs.

I don’t like the idea of being vulnerable in front of a group. Do I have to share?

To start a business, to fall in love, to have a baby are all incredibly vulnerable experiences- everything that we say we value in life takes tremendous vulnerability.

There is incredible power in the experience of being witnessed by others. Grief or shame need witnessed to be processed. We create a closed, safe space and sharing is highly encouraged but not mandatory. The more you can allow yourself to open up, the more benefits you’ll experience. But we never want anyone to feel uncomfortable.

I’m afraid I’ll join and then hate it and quit. What’s the commitment?

Embedding supportive practices as part of your daily life gets so much easier once you have received and experienced their many benefits. Getting started is the hardest part. There is a high level of accountability involved. I am totally immersed with you all for the month and will be by your side for encouragement, support and to navigate challenges with you.
The weekly commitment is five 30 min practices, one education session and one 1:1 call along with any time you spend engaging with the community. The course lasts 4 weeks.

How much 1:1 support is included?

You will receive two 1:1 60 minute calls with me. You’ll be provided a booking link so you can choose a time that best suits you. The 1:1 support can be spaced out as you see fit. I recommend one just before/at the start of the month, one during and the final one towards the end/just after finishing.

What if I can’t attend early morning sessions?

I appreciate that not everyone is an early bird. I do really believe in the power of a morning practice which sets you up for the day. I’d encourage everyone to do their best to attend live if possible but I totally understand that other commitments might clash. Recordings of each session are made available within 24 hours of the call (usually much less) so that you can partake.
